Versatile Blogger Award from Jennifer Gammell!

Thanks so much, Jennifer! It's a pretty award! Go HERE to meet Jen!

If you don't already know, bloggers bestow one another with awards to show friendship and appreciation.

The rules for accepting this award are as follows:
1. Thank the award-givers and link back to them in your post. (see Sarah's name up there?)
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass this award along to 15 other bloggers.
4. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know about the award.

7 things about me:

1. Like Jen I use to work in a bank. One time a robber grabbed a bag from an office trash can and crammed stolen vault money inside it. Tucking the bag under his arm, the robber fled the scene and ran down the street with money flying out behind him because there was a giant hole in the bottom of the bag. Happy pedestrians were quick to follow in his tracks and pick it up!

2. My husband doesn't like to kill animals, but he was raised by a father who hunted. So, once when we were newlyweds and went hiking, we saw a deer fall down the mountain. With only a hatchet and a pocketknife, my husband dressed the deer and we carried it home in rain ponchos. My husband hung it in the garage, but it got maggots. Gross!

3. An accomplishment: I try to eat a mostly all fiber diet, and last year went four months without chocolate!

4. Sometimes I actually sew. The last thing I sewed was a baby blanket for Kristin's baby boy.

5. A fact: I really don't like BUNCO. I just go because I love Jen and her friends! On second thought, there's also the food, and Jen's a fabulous cook!

6. Where I'm from: I love the sun and appreciate living in California!

7. What I do: I tutor children for a living and have the BEST job in the world. It is awesome to see children improve and feel good about themselves!

I'm still deciding who to pass this on to. So far, I've just got Roxy, Karyn, Cindy, and Shelly.

  1. My husband has just started to get into the gun thing. He hasn't gone hunting for more than ducks and rabbits yet. I'm not looking forward to anything larger. If he does bring home something, I'll remember not to hang it in the garage.

  2. It's great when you love your job. Loved the bank story. We sort of have something in common: I cut up a deer in my garage once that my son shot. You gotta get the thing wrapped and into your freezer, Kathleen. LOL. Thanks for sharing and letting us get to know you better. Hope to get to talk to you at Storymakers this year!
