NaNo and Chocolate

I abstained from chocolate for another eight days and then picked up a dark Dove Bite. I was surprised at the sweetness of it. Since my desserts have been fruits, I have become adjusted to the natural sweet flavor coming from grapes and mango, so much so that anything besides fruit is not really satisfying anymore. In fact, I often think to myself: Would I rather have a piece of chocolate or two cups of watermelon? I always choose the melon. What about during NaNo? It'll be tough, but I've already decided to have my raw veggies cut and containered--ready to eat, to have a good soup going in the crock pot, and to have plenty of nuts and fruits on hand. And if I really get hungry, there's always beans smashed into baked potatoes or hot bread and toast with avocado, tomato, sprouts. I've got my NaNo outline ready, just need to work on the scenes. Can't wait! My best of luck to all you NaNo's out there!

  1. So great to be at a good starting point in time for nano. I'll either be doing revisions or jumping back into the middle of another story. Sounds like you have a good game plan. Good luck with the writing AND with sticking to the better for you snacks. I'm sure you'll do great!

  2. No chocolate? I've done the same with coffee. It's been weeks since I've had any.

But when it comes to chocolate, I am very limited. I am allergic to soy, and only one brand I know of offers soy-free chocolate. But it is soooooo expensive. Once a month, I crave chocolate, and then I have one small square. Satisfies me for another month.

Hope your NaNo month went well.
