Succor: Why I Write

Most mornings find me up and writing, but my best writing comes when I have spent time pondering and praying, first, about life and my WIP. This morning that logic proved to be true, in the very best sense.

Like most writers, I spend a great deal of time questioning the work I am pursuing, and why I am obsessed with the idea of it, and wondering if it is pleasing unto the Lord. This morning, I received the Lord's answer as to the meaning of my WIP. Now I feel completely confident about spending the rest of the endless hours it will take to finish my WIP. And if it only touches one soul, then what? Then maybe it will touch the very soul I care about most in all of this world. And that is why I write.
